New Eurimages grants for Romanian films



Recycling feelings,by Cristian Mungiu, and Touch Me Not by Adina Pintilie, are among the film projects granted financial support at the most recent Eurimages session - the Council of Europe's Cinema Support Fund, according to Agerpres.

The Recycling feelings project received 300,000 euros and Adina Pintilie's project - a Romania-Germany-Bulgaria-France co-production -  received 160,000 euros.

Recycling feelings, a Romania-France-Belgium co-production, tells a story about the responsibilities of parents, as the Romanian film maker told the “Screen Daily” magazine.

Two other Romanian projects, namely 6.9 on Richter's Scale, a Romania-Belgium co-production, and Dogs, by Bogdan Mirica, a Romania-France-Belgium co-production received funds from the same body, 150,000 euros and 140,000 euros, respectively, at the previous session of Eurimages for which results were announced in March.

The value of the funds for the new cinema projects was made public following the meeting of the board of directors of the institution held in Prague, between June 15 and 19. The total value of the session is 7,745,000 euros, with 27 feature films to be sponsored, an animation project and three documentaries.
